Travel grants for Ukrainian researchers to participate in H2020 projects' preparatory meetings in the EU

The BILAT-UKR*AINA project announces a call for awarding travel grants to Ukrainian researchers who intend to participate in the EU Framework Programme 'HORIZON 2020'.

These grants cover the following priority areas:

  1. New materials and processing technologies
  2. Information and communication technologies
  3. Biotechnologies
  4. Aeronautics

The awarded grants will cover travel and accommodation costs, up to 650 euros.

Travel grants may be awarded to researchers intending to participate in Horizon 2020 on topics other than the above mentioned ones, however applications relating to the above mentioned topics will be considered in priority.

A total of 10 grants will be awarded to cover travel expenses (travel and accommodation costs) of Ukrainian scientists to the EU in order to participate in preparatory meetings and consultations with consortia leaders, of project proposals to be submitted under the EU Framework Programme 'HORIZON 2020' Calls that are open to the date of submission.

Ukrainian researchers applying for a travel grant must imperatively provide an official invitation letter addressed to them by the consortium leader of the project proposal in which they wish to take part. Each applicant is also requested to provide a letter of support signed by the director of his/her institution of reference in Ukraine, as well as the official endorsement from said institution of reference for publishing materials in open access (by standard form adopted by the applicant’s institution of reference).

Application forms for travel grants will be accepted until 10 June 2014. All forms will be considered upon reception.

An expert evaluation will be conducted by the National Contact Point of Ukraine according to the thematic areas favoured by the applicants. This evaluation will be conducted in consultation with the BILAT-UKR*AINA project partners and will consider the relevance of applications with regards to the Horizon 2020 targeted calls.
